Our 46th Annual Grand Western Shindig was another boot scootin’ success! This unforgettable evening was more than just a celebration of Texas spirit. It’s our largest and most important fundraiser of the year, supporting vital programs and services that help children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) live with greater independence, dignity, and joy.
Every dollar raised at Shindig directly fuels daily care, life skills coaching, job training, and residential support for the people we are honored to serve. With your help, we ensure that our neighbors with IDD have every opportunity to be included, productive, and truly independent. Thank you to Sydney and Parker Hensley for graciously serving as Chairmen of our 46th Annual Grand Western Shindig for 2025. Shindig will be hosted on Thursday, November 6, 2025 when more than 730 friends came together and enjoyed another year of fun and fundraising at the Mays Family Center at the Witte Museum. Thank you to the hundreds of individuals, families and businesses who continue to make this event possible.

About Mission Road’s Annual Grand Western Shindig
Mission Road’s Grand Western Shindig is, at its heart, a family reunion. Shindig is recognized as among San Antonio’s most welcoming, casual and entertaining fundraisers. It is an annual gala event benefiting the children and adults served each day by Mission Road Ministries. The event attracts more than 730 guests who, once again, enjoyed delicious catering; live music and dancing; silent and live auctions, raffle and other surprises. Our 46th Grand Western Shindig Gala was in person AND offered bidding in our online Auction for guests who enjoyed participating at home. To date, we have raised more than $1,057,000 and still counting! Through your gift, you are making positive and meaningful improvements to the quality of life of some of our community’s most vulnerable people.

Mission Road Ministries cares for children and adults with IDD (intellectual developmental disabilities). The Grand Western Shindig helps to raise critical funding that helps bridge the gap between state and federal funding that allows for the minimum standard of care and the total funding required to provide the exceptional care our clients require and deserve to reach their greatest potential for Independence, Productivity and Inclusion in the community.
